Extra inside lift the dot pegs ?

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,   spending some of this enforced time off going through the bits of my 3a that still need to be re-furbished/replaced etc and was puzzled by these 2 lift the dot pegs on the inside of the rear corner cappings. What is their purpose?

Does the hoodstick cover not attach to the same outer pegs as the hood?

I thought it must be something to do with that but thought that when the sticks were down they would lay either across or below these pegs.

The hood stick cover is clipped to those first then the hood frame finally folded down and the cover is then pulled up over the frame and finally clipped to the outer lift the dots.

Thanks Stuart,  is there a row of these pegs then along the inside of the rear capping (mine had already been removed when I got the car).

Many thanks Stuart.  Long way off yet but if I don`t ask about these things as I come across them I will forget.
