DaveR Posted April 5, 2020 Report Share Posted April 5, 2020 You have a leaking water pump, the seal have failed. The slit in the block is to allow for this and try to prevent the coolant from getting into the sump. It's urgent you get it fix. Dave Quote Link to post Share on other sites
BlueTR3A-5EKT Posted April 6, 2020 Report Share Posted April 6, 2020 (edited) You will need to get the lid off the pump to see if it is a 6 or 12 vane pump fitted before buying the pump. The top cover changes from 6 to 12 vane because of the slope angle of the vanes to match the cover face. Cheers Peter W PS Stuffing Hell I just looked at the price of a replacement pump! - 200 quid.
