Nice Coventry plate there, how did it end up with that?

Hi Stuart/Julian

The story I was told was it was ordered by a Sgt in the USAF, it was originally white (was still under the red) and he then allegedly asked for it to be painted red by the factory and went home without paying so it was resisted under the Home Delivery Export Scheme in June 1967 and sold in this country.  It was in a collection in Truro for some years and I brought it from guy in Welwyn garden city about 2002 and ran it until 2013 when I took it off road for some "MINOR" body work (as usual it turned into a restoration) and only now getting it sorted as I brought a 6 to use and only sold that last year.

Will do Julian thanks

Mark.

some shots from our Italy tour Last year - sadly nothing similar for 2021 . . . in the Brenner Pass on the low road, on the Nightjet motor rail Dusseldorf to Innsbruck, and pausing on the Amalfi Coast.

As it looks like it’s getting a little wet and cooler I have brought forward the date to put on the hard top, when I had finished Carole says it’s going to be nice on Sunday. Ok I’ll go out on Saturday then as its going to rain.

Great to see Tan Hill Inn and surrounding area in sunshine. Shrouded in mist when I was there couple of weeks ago. Only other vehicle we saw was a John Lewis delivery van!
