Phil Read
Does any one know where I can get complete canopy attachment hooks, That is the hook, elastic and appropriate rivets. I am aware the hooks are available but I am missing the complete unit.
jerrytr5
They would usually come as part of the surrey top, so I guess one of the hood manufacturers might be a best bet. But it's only a bit of knicker elastic - surely you can raid the wife's drawers - boom boom Jerry
Phil Read
Gone through her drawers but can't find any black elastic.
RogerH
Hi Phil, most elastic doesn't last too long - quite useless. I been considering something more rubbery like a giant elastic band. Roger

Lee Dutton
I have used circular black elastic, works well as Roger says the original type of elastic does not last long at all cheers Lee

I had to buy a couple of clips as two were missing, very expensive paper clips. I cut the tube the same width as the elastic but doupled it up. I used small pop rivets and flat washers to attach the clips etc. Getting the correct length and tension was a bit hit and miss but the result seems ok, time will tell.
