paul7
Hi can someone tell me how the rear wing bead is fixed please. Mines chrome and I’d like to remove it to have a small paint repair done to top if wing. I’m hoping it’s held by clips and might just tease off carefully. Worse case I guess is it’s sandwiched between wing. thanks Paul
RogerH
Hi Paul, it is little tabs on the trim sandwiched between wing and body. You will need to slacken the wing attachment screws. The tabs are turned over underneath so you will need to straighten then first. Do you really need to remove the trim - it is stainless not chrome. Roger
paul7
Thanks Roger the guy doing the paint is going to try. But it needs a small patch welding in and it’s very close to the stainless trim. Is the trim still available ? If he damages it. paul
Peter V W
Paul, trim available from Moss at about £16.
Mike 5 fan
You do need to slacken all the screws which means removing the boot tank panel and the interior side panel. You'll almost certainly need to unbolt the hood from that side too. It will then ease out. Regards Mike.
