d2alfa
Headlights After several years of putting up with candle power headlights I have decided to upgrade and include a relay kit. There seem to be two main types - Super White Xenon Gas Lamps and 60/55w halogen. Any advice will be welcomed d2

Ian Vincent
I don't think Xenon lights are legat unless they were an OEM fitment and are provided with the correct adjusters. Rgds Ian
RobH
That is HID lamps (high intensity discharge) Ian - confusingly called 'Xenon' for short by some sellers.  Ordinary H4 xenon- filled bulbs are legal provided the wattage does not exceed the original but are probably no better than good LEDs bulbs, and will have a shorter life as well as taking a much higher current. Relays are not necessary with LED bulbs. Edited March 6, 2020 by RobH
Lebro
LED's for sure. What lamp unit type do have i.e. which bulb base would you require. Here is my recommended H4 type: https://www.classiccarleds.co.uk/products/latest-led-headlights-h4-philips-z-es-hi-lo-beam-conversion-9-32v?variant=8239030763615 Bob
