ronhatch
Hi All, I have a boot seal from rimmers but it doesn't let my boot close, It's ok at the top and sides but at the bottom edge I can't get it near the lock (ok without the seal) the seal is an h shape and is quite rigid, thoughts please. tim hunt
Ron, looks like you need the following from Woolies, as recommended on a recent thread. This did the job nicely on my 4A. Tim https://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/product/1928/small-boot-seal
ronhatch
Thanks Tim, I'll try that Regards Ron
Chris Hubball
Just fitted one of these to my TR4 no problems experienced. Cheers Chris.
Ocheye
I had exactly the same issue with the Rimmers seal and opted for the Woolies small boot seal. It works just fine Andy
ChrisR-4A
I am posting this for the benefit of others but, do look at the Woolies item closely before fitting because it is possible to fit it the wrong way round. This will be evident if there are kinks in the front two corners. If fitted wrongly it wont seal, don't ask me how I know or how long mine was on wrong before I realized why it was still leaking. Motorsport Mickey
Thanks Chris, very honest. No doubt saved me days of puzzling. Mick Richards

The anonymous person who fitted it could have got it wrong and it has been under cover since Ciara so I don’t know if it leaks Andy
stuart
If you look at the seal its very obvious which is the correct way to fit it, the tube is slightly offset one way the offset needs to go to the outside. Stuart.

Stuart. Phew. I can come clean and admit that the anonymous person who fitted mine was me - and I did it right
