fisicx
Anyone know what size they are? The previous owner bodged a repair and put in self-tappers. I've got a repaired dash and new hinges but now need the right screws.
RogerH
Hi Graham, your best bet is to measure the holes in the hinges and obtain wood screws slightly smaller. If you are drilling into wood ensure you make a pilot hole to avoid splitting the wood. Roger
ed_h
I determined that the originsl screws were between a #1 and #2 wood screw. These are size designations used in the US--don't know if it's the same in the UK. A #2 screw had too big a head, while a #1 just spun in the hole. With a new or repaired glove box lid, I'd try #1 screws. I was forced to spruce up the originals, but it was pretty finicky work. RogerH
Here are the USA woodscrew sizes https://www.boltdepot.com/fastener-information/wood-screws/Wood-Screw-Diameter.aspx I think they are the same as the UK Roger
rcreweread
I think Woollies do these screws in small quantities Cheers Rich
