Paul Hill
When I bought my car I did notice two areas on the bonnet and did get a reduction when the deal was agreed. Wind on 18 months and I just could not live with these two blotches and a few paint reactions. I asked my friend who has a body shop and he agreed to strip and repaint the bonnet over Dec and Jan as a hospital job. When he started to strip the areas of concern this is what was uncovered So Steve lead filled them and resprayed the bonnet and both sides as perfectly matching Mimosa Yellow was really difficult but I think he did did good, the car now looks awesome, and I cannot wait for better weather The boot lid and scuttle was not painted the match is spot on Edited January 29, 2020 by Paul Hill

KiwiTR6
I do like the Mimosa yellow on the TR, it would look rubbish on anything else. Your man has done a great job.

Mk2 Chopper
Liking the finished paint. I've got a few areas that bother me, I'm thinking about getting them done, shame I don't have a mate I can trust to do it. Gareth
stuart
Nice that he leaded the repairs, a proper body man. Stuart.

Your man has done a great job. It also looks great on the Dolly Sprint. Looks like a top job has been done there Paul - I had a Mimosa TR6 back in the 90's and it looked great polished up in the sunlight; a proper mid-70's colour. Cheers, Andrew
Fireman049
Really excellent paint jobs. I really envy you! Just give thanks that you don't live in north Wales. There is nowhere you can get your Classic painted here! I had my 3A painted by a local painters but never again! My 'E'-type is ready for a respray but there is nowhere I can get it done! Tom. What fun. Mike Nice car, but two sets of wing mirrors or is that just an extra on the driver's side?
Aldpilot
Just a single extra wing mirror on the o/side. The car is exactly as purchased from the one lady owner (except we have fixed the non operating overdrive). It has only done 55,000 miles, so needs a good bit of use over the Summer, before we attempt the Round Britain in October. Hopefully we don’t break anything and it proves reliable. We didn’t fancy doing the TRip in a TR5 and wanted a bit more space. Sorry to hijack the thread, but as said earlier, certain cars look good in yellow and Paul’s TR6 looks great as does our Sprint.
