Ralph Whitaker
Hi, any one know where I could get the A pillar check strap brackets, both of mine are broken and look a bit awkward to make. Looked in Moss and Rimmers but all they seem to sell is the complete A piliar. It`s a 3a but I think the same bracket was used on many cars. Thanks. Edited January 23, 2020 by Ralph Whitaker Better mention which car its for.
Ian Vincent
If you are talking about the check strap that bolts to the inside of the front edge of the door, Moss are OOS but I suspect that TR Shop would have them. Just be aware that the repro items are shorter than the originals which restricts the door opening. (Or they were when I needed them). Rgds Ian
iain
Try Revington for second hand.
Ralph Whitaker
No, not the straps themselves, but the attachment on the pillar. Its a little folded bracket that fits in from the back of the pillar. Want to do mine whilst the wings are off. Ralph
RogerH
HI Ralph, I suspect they only come with the 'A' post. The turn over for a shop would make them uneconomical to stock. Get out to that garage and make some. You know you want to. Roger
Ralph Whitaker
Hi Roger, it looks as though I might have to make them. Even in the original parts book it only lists them as an assembly with the A pillar. A bit of a tricky folding exercise though. I might make them out of solid on the Bridgeport and bolt them in from the back.
RogerH
Hi Ralph, if you can post a decent dimensioned drawing I would give it a go for you. Roger

Fireman049
Like a lot of parts on my 3A I'd be inclined to make my own ~ dead easy! Tom.
BlueTR3A-5EKT
If you are able to weld them on I would think your fabrication skills to make the bent bit of metal with a hole In it is more than adequate
