Tar removal on Trailing Arms

Recommended Posts

Hi have a pair of ugly looking TAs for cleanup. What would be the best dipping solution before finishing with jet and wire brush ? Surface isn't a problem, hollow parts are so I would need something drastic. Some pointers please.

As always

Be carefull if you have removed the bushes that the bores don't end up oversize especially if fitting poly bushes as they don't expand as much as rubber and could end up a loose fit.

I used a heat gun and then cleaned off the residue using Tar and Glue remover. Worked very well.
