Drivers door mirror

Recommended Posts

Would somebody be kind enough to let me have dimensions for the position of the drivers door mirror on a TR5 please.

Many thanks,

Tim

Dave, I agree. I am looking for the original Winguard dimensions please.

Tim,

The attached scan is from Triumph Newsletter 215 for the TR6. It is for Wingard door mirror part no 622352

Pretty sure it would have been identical for the TR5 albeit I can't find a similar service instruction or newsletter for the TR5.

cheers

Derek

Many thanks all.

Derek,

Your info looks pretty definitive by dimensions ie 2.5 inches and 6 inches, although the position on the sketch looks a little random!

Will use these dims.

Thanks again.

The position on the sketch is definitely designed to confuse as its below the waist swage. Below picture shows correct mirror and position on L/Hand drive TR5

Thanks Stuart.

This image would appear to agree with the measurements given in the bulletin.

Hi there. My 1968 TR5 is exactly in line with the bulletin i.e. 2.5" from the door glass following the contour of the door panel and 6" back from the front edge of the door. I have no idea whether the car had mirrors fitted from new as I was 17 at the time!

Regards,

Denis
