Recommended Posts

So Cumbria Group enjoyed  NYD with a cracker of a drive around The Lake District.

bit of a grey day, but never needed the tops on, and thats over 160mls!

Ran along side Bassenthwaite, caught the tip of Derwentwater as we by-passed Keswick, then onto Thirlmere, collected

Brian and Carol , Peter Guy and Mark Powley at Thirlspot, then it was along the rest of Thirlmere, Rydal Water and along the whole of Windermere on our way to lunch at The Lakeland Motor Museum at Newby Bridge, (Well worth a visit by the way)

...and at the head of Windermere.

Met up with Jim and Anne , Bob Eccles, Rip Pearson, Andy and Margaret at The museum, along with a lovely couple, Susan and Tec. who having seen our flyer, turned up in their absolutely beautiul TR4A, lovely to meet you both, stay in touch!

Home was via Kirkstone Pass, (A bit Misty on the top) then Brotherswater on the Left before running along the length of Ullswater, then turning North and Home.

A cracker of a day, and a great way to start a new TR'ing decade.

John.
