Peter V W
What type of lubricant should be used when fitting new O rings to the injectors, fuel lines and metering unit pedestal?
Spit_2.5PI
Silicone grease is normally the default assembly lube for O-rings and I would have thought it was suitable for this application. That's what I used when I put new O-rings in my injectors, to prevent damage to the elastomer as they slid home. Viton of course! Cheers, Richard
Waldi
Peter, if you use Viton O-rings, they are pretty inert so I’m not sure if it matters much, I think also any automotive grease could be used. I stand to be corrected though. Waldi
