Don't be so pessimistic!

I also cracked 70 a few months ago and can still do the alloy wheels on my TR7. Maybe bigger wire wheels on earlier TRs are heavier?

Nevertheless maybe TRR might do something to recognise us old F*rts.

I wasn’t being pessimistic, I was just stating a fact. I can still do wheels although I will admit that the ones on my Merc are a bit of a challenge. I had to change one recently when I had a puncture.

I can lift the wheels however it puts a lot of stress on the body,  plus I got 2 slip disc, thay are ok at the moment, fingers crossed ,   the 18in wheels on the 350z 

Convinced me to do somthing about it,  I have baught a wheel lift comes tomorow, I will report back how I get on with it

Hi Pinky,

 a little late but send the tyre lift back and buy a Mini inner tube.

Deflate the tube, position under the wheel, inflate, remove wheel from studs - easy peasy.

Install is the opposite

If you are concerned about how slow it is you can have a cuppa.

When not being used for tyre fitting you can go floating across the Solent.
