Hamish
Hi I’m hoping there is TR6 gearbox knowledge out there that will identify my ratios. I understand its a TR6 box with A type box. Circa 1974. no. CD 15788 with the “higher ratio” 1st gear. I’m trying to work out options using minty lamb http://www.mintylamb.co.uk/ thanks H Edited October 22, 2019 by Hamish
john.r.davies
Hamish, Is the 'box on the bench or in the car? In the first case, it would be simpler to mark the input and output shafts, and turn the first, perhaps with an old clutch plate. The ratio is then the number, and fraction, of turns of the input, for one complete turn of the output shaft. John

Uncover the gearbox and count rotations of the propshaft. Requires an assistant! JOhn
