Ocheye
Those of you who have been following my other posts will know that my 4 was sitting very low at the front when I got it. This was due to several factors: Small radius tyres, shortened upper wishbones (heavy negative camber) and a bent lower wishbone. As a consequence my ARB had very little ground clearance and the photos give testimony to this fact. The drop links are severely bent. Until I get new, taller, tyres I will leave the ARB in my garage. However, the drop links will need replacing one day (if I decide to use an ARB) and I've been amazed at the difference in prices. Most of the ads refer to 'high quality' but I take that with a pinch of salt. The car will not be used for competition so I don't need to go overboard with rose-joints etc. Also my bar is not very heavy duty, approx 17mm, and I don't know how much difference the bar will make to everyday handling. I would welcome advice on choice of drop links (There are a few horror stories around!) and whether or not I should even bother. My budget is somewhat limited and I am having to prioritise my expenditure e.g. I may run on the 175/65/15's for the time being as they are barely worn Andy Edited October 7, 2019 by Ocheye
BlueTR3A-5EKT
I made my own using 3/8" unf rose joint spherical linkage joints, nuts, bolts, spacers, and some studding plus cup washers and bushes. This sort of thing https://www.mcmaster.com/spherical-joints http://www.mcgillmotorsport.com/3-8-x-3-8-right-hand-female-cfr6-economy-rod-end-240/ You can also use 10 mm if you find they are cheaper. http://www.mcgillmotorsport.com/m10-x-1-5mm-right-hand-male-sak10t-teflon-lined-rod-end-123/

stillp
I would leave it off until you've refurbished the rest of the suspension and you decide to start using the car for competition. Pete
Ocheye
I don't think I'll be doing any competing! I think the suspension is pretty well sorted now thanks to the Cumbria Group. I won't be 100% sure until I fit taller skinnier tyres which should be available in the New Year. They're classed as summer tyres and are thin on the ground at the moment (that wasn't meant as a pun!) Andy
Malbaby
As a matter of interest, why are you intending to fit tall skinny tyres.

I'm intending using 165/80/15 tyres (close to original size) instead of the 175/65/15 tyres that are currently on. The 165's are 1.4" taller than mine and 10mm narrower Andy
