I believe the centre caps are very rare, so please look after them!

If anyone wants a set, I think David Ferry has some he wishes to sell

Ian is correct, I have a number of sets of original magnesium:ARE Silverstone wheels available for sale. All crack tested and refinished by Ian Jemison Engineering, who are well versed in this work.

If interested, do get in touch.

I have 1 deg negative on the rears & 2 deg negative on fronts with an anti- roll bar fitted. Car seems to run ok!

Chris, I have had negative on the fronts (between 1 & 2 deg) since having the car & driven around 20k miles with no real uneven wear on the front tyres. Have just replaced with a new set so will see how these wear. Not really a problem as due to mileage covered my tyres tend to get 'old' before worn out! A little stuck with the camber as on a recent full alignment check we found no shims present on one front so could not therefore reduce shims (& camber), so just made sure both sides matched.

There are several companies in the US specialising in wheels and caps (and even spinners), not too expensive - but will not fit 'Silverstones' without a fair degree of modernisation.

Hi David, what are you asking for your set? How much do they go? Do you have a set of spinners also? Gz Jo

I think some of us are guilty of calling them the wrong name - ARE / American Racing Eagles 'Silverstone', I'm told they are American Racing 'Silverstone'. As far as I know - American Eagle is a different wheel company. Pass me my Anorak!
