TwinCamJohn
Well, I've removed the bolts that were mentioned in the manual and a couple that weren't but I can't quite remove the apron. It has come up and away from the two mountings (4 bolts) at the top of the apron and I can pull it out a little way on one side and a small amount on the other towards the top. But the bottom doesn't want to move. At the bottom I have removed the stay rod mounting and the starting handle support. Have I missed something ?
BlueTR3A-5EKT
Have you removed the bolts inside the grille area that support the horizontal tray to the inner front wings? These will be hidden by the cardboard radiator duct . Are all the bolts out down inside the inner front wing both sides? Peter W
TwinCamJohn
Yep, all that is done. have just had a call from a member in France (James Christie) and it seems I haven't missed anything; However, the chrome piping has been rivetted to the wings and that is probably what is making it difficult. Will have another go tomorrow. It's apéritif time now

TwinCamJohn
It's an interesting idea. Perhaps if you are restoring the car. I'm not sure I would want to be cutting the body with the paint so good.
