Andy Moltu
On a latching relay you have 5 contacts - S, 30, 56, 56a & 56b. 30 and S are the trigger/control cirucuit - does it matter which is +12 and which is negative. (I assume 56 is the live feed - which is switched between a & b.) I've had a few of these blow oon the 4A and double checking this is correct.
RogerH
Hi Andy, the only concern on the Vehicle & wiring products site is to not have the switch energised too long - it is a momentary switch input. http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/product.php/649/latching-relay-12v Roger
Robin Powell
The S connection should be negative otherwise you will get a short as they have changed the relay design. 30 connects to 56a in one position
Andy Moltu
Thanks Robin - that may well explain things.
