Rob W
Hi guys, I've got a dent in the front offside wheel arch, I thought it was damage but I've seen a photo of another body shell on this forum with the same dent but I've seen others without it, what's it for? Or is it coincidence the 2 are damaged in the same place? See pic. Thanks
Drewmotty
Inner arches are often dressed in that area to clear air filters on cars with non standard carbs or inlet manifolds. TR5s and TR6s have relief along the inner arch to clear the PI intake plenum.
rogerowen
Does look deliberate rather than accidental, extra space for a remote brake servo???
Lebro
My money is to give clearance around air filter etc. Bob.
Chilliman
Got something similar myself which is to give clearance for the air box for the Webers...
Robin Powell
The dent was put in for fitting a brake servo which was an option on the TR4A. The 4A I had in 1968 had a servo fitted there.
