Andy Moltu
Anyone know which way round the header rail seal goes. Just changed the hood. The ancient seal was symmetrical which isn’t the case with new. Anyone know.
Andy Moltu
Having played with it the only way is with the larger element to the front.
Markus
I've also been wondering about the larger element. Now that's sorted can anyone help with advice on getting the seal into the channels? At the very least without too much blue language. I know patience is a virtue but there is a limit. ed_h
A wide blunt screwdriver worked OK for me. It's a slow process, though. Insert one side, an tuck the other, poco a poco. Ed
Markus
Thanks guys. That has got to be better than trying to slide it along the channels even with soapy water or rubber grease. Cheers!
Robisan
What the .... You mean there's a seal between the hood and the top windscreen rail? No bloody wonder I get wet when it rains: I thought this getting wet was part and parcel of the joy of Triumph TR6's.... Live and learn, I suppose.

As others have said, something pointy but not too sharp will help a lot...
