Header rail seal

I've also been wondering about the larger element.

Now that's sorted can anyone help with advice on getting the seal into the channels?  At the very least without too much blue language.

I know patience is a virtue but there is a limit.

What the ....

You mean there's a seal between the hood and the top windscreen rail? No bloody wonder I get wet when it rains: I  thought this getting wet was part and parcel of the joy of Triumph TR6's....

Live and learn, I suppose.
