octagonfarms
First thanks for info given concerning heater disconnect. I have a 1980 Coventry manufactured TR7 convertible with federal specification. After replacing the water pump I noticed a circular 1 inch opening in the intake manifold in the general area of the large o-ring on the bottom side of the manifold under the thermostat. If you look through the hole you can see the thermostat. In a Haynes TR-7 owners workshop manual it is shown on page 52, center bottom pic. What goes in this opening? a core plug? Also I can not find a drawing showing there the bottom radiator hose attaches to the motor. If this is where it goes there is no flange to secure it to. Thanks for helping another 7 return to driving condition. LC

Topoff
Hi the large horizontal slot opening is a tell tale for a leaking water pump. What you see is how it is, odd though. Laurence.
