Pete R
I have the usual problem of fuel starvation after a quarter full around left hand bends as my tank doesn't have a baffle. Rather than fitting a swirl pot, has anyone tried putting foam void filler in the tank instead? If so was it easy to do and how much did you put in? I assume it would only be needed to form a baffle or fill the lower half to stop the surge. Pete
BlueTR3A-5EKT
I'm confused. How will you get the foam in the tank unless you cut a big enough hole for it to go in through and then be secured? If you cut a hole, why not weld in an internal baffle instead? Pete R
You can put it in in small chunks I believe. It is what they do for motorbikes. It presumably doesn't matter if there are gaps as long as it reduces slosh. Pete
rcreweread
Pete - have sent you a PMÂ cheers Rich
Andy Moltu
The problem with the foam is that you do need to make sure the fuel float is free to move so retro filling may not be easy.
stuart
You could use this stuff https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/demon-tweeks-easy-pour-fuel-tank-baffle-exp10l/ Start.
Pete R
Stuart that looks like it would work, but had forgotten about the fuel sender float, so would have to get the tubular type shown. I think the swirl pot is the best solution, so will go down that route. Thanks Pete
