AarhusTr6
hi Please see picture. Was thinking of utilising as a power source for USB, ciggy lighter etc but was unsure what it originally was. I will fuse of course. Thanks Rich
Tim D.
It's just a terminal connector. Sits on the inner wing.
AarhusTr6
Thanks So was not used for anything and was there for expansion purposes? Rich
Mark69
I’ve often wondered what the point was using this block.
Richard71
I run my Revotec fan (via fuse) from the connector block. Richard.
RogerH
Hi Rich, it is only a connector block #35 https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/cgg500-500cc-oil-suction-gun/ It was first fitted to the TR5. Possibly in transition from the TR4A wiring loom to the Alternator - and terminates all the left over wires. You can take power off the starter solenoid (battery side) then through 12V - 5V adaptor Roger

RogerH
Thanks Kev, not only the wrong link but the wrong component number = Doh!!! Roger
foster461
The later TR6 (US ones anyway) have a spare terminal on the positive cable going to the starter. There is a big ass connector in the middle of that cable. I took power from there to go to an auxiliary fuse/relay panel that lives in the passenger footwell. All the toys (power outlets, electric fan, fog lamps etc) are connected to that panel Stan
AarhusTr6
Hi So the summary is, this is built for expansion of additional power elements right? If so, I will use it for faggy, USB, etc. Rich
RogerH
Hi Rich, I think it's original purpose was to terminate unused cables from the Regulator box. If you can use it as a power output then that's an extra. Roger
