JJC
Lifting the hard top off for the Summer the rubber capping fell off yet again. It’s an annual event. Which glue would work properly? And would also work on the door capping which has come adrift over the winter? JJC

Ian Vincent
The glue is superb stuff but unfortunately it is only available in 1 litre cans and after you have used a small amount it goes off in the can unless you wrap it up in clingfilm. Rgds Ian

Rgds Ian Hi Folks, when I got my last tin, about three years ago, I also got a dozen small glass jam jars from Ebay (apprx 50mL) Cost about £8 ish. Ebay link The glue is decanted into the jars and the lid tightened down. Store upside down so any internal air drying is at the bottom. I have used two so far and the remaining ten are still liquid and fresh. Roger Edited March 30, 2019 by RogerH

rcreweread
Roger - if you want those small jars, go to a local half decent hotel/cafe/tea room and ask them for the ones they throw away which came with jam/marmalade/honey in them - true recycling but very, very expensive ie free and usually only too pleased to get rid of them! Cheers Cheapskate Rich
stillp
Wilko sell a tray of 12 small jars for £2. Pete
JJC
Can you get the lids off? The glue doesn’t stick the lids? JJC
Deggers
Should be fine if, as Roger suggested, you store them upside down.

JJC Store upside down and ensure that there is no glue on the threads when first filled. jars that are being used will probably stay fine for quite some time.. However if you can't get the lid off you only lose a small amount. Roger
JJC
If I’m filling little jars with glue there’ll be glue on the threads, on the bench, on the floor, in my socks..........JJC
Graham J
JJC, you need to take the lid of the jar first!! Graham
