TR4'er
Doing a respray on my TR4. Dismantled screen frame and sprayed separately, now comes the time to refit screen with new rubbers etc. Can't get anyone - not even national windscreens - to tackle the refit. Does anyone have any ideas who may be able to refit the screen for me. Or does anyone want to help me - with guidance from Youtube etc. I live in Aylesbury. Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob.
John Morrison
Hi Rob, you want an independent fitter, one man band, usually they advertise as plant/cab glass repairers etc. We have one up here who does them for £40, John.
RogerH
Hi Rob, google your area - http://www.budgetwindscreens.co.uk/?gclid=CjwKCAjwvuzkBRAhEiwA9E3FUsUHaprh6L4dUS3N2ywNGgZC-ciw9ezo2603aDqIiHHeiNOXmnLIIxoClKYQAvD_BwE If you are refitting your old screen it may go pop. Prepare to buy a new one. Roger
BritishRacingGreen
Hi Rob A bit of a trek (120 miles) but one option would be to contact Revingtons TR in Somerset. They supply a range of windsreens for TRs and fit them too. https://www.revingtontr.com/tr4/triumph-catalogue/an No connection, just a very happy customer who can vouch for their helpfulness and expertise. jerrytr5
Hi Rob, I'm just down the road in Chesham. Happy to pop over & give you a hand, but will have to be next week. The frame needs to be fitted to the car - presume it is? You need some nylon cord about 4mm dia, long enough to go all round the rubber, and some lubricant. IM me if I can help.
