4 Pot to vented

Recommended Posts

Hi

When I built a couple of these TR7/v8's in the late 80's I was able to get caliper spacer kits, I have one again and wish to convert from 4 pot solid to vented discs. Does anybody know where I can get a spacer kit and which EBC discs to fit.

Incidently back then we started experimenting with different brake setups from escorts and showed signs of massive improvements over any TR setup with its totaly out of balance front/rear compensator once 4 pots were fitted.

Although delighted that the beast I bought a few months ago handled and stoped just as badly is it did many years ago, I am amased that someone hasn't just picked a complete setup from a modern car or at least found a master cylinder and servo with some guts and dragged it into the 21st Century.

Perhaps you guys have some ideas that I can try over next winter. servo's and calipers that anyone can pick up cheap like MGF or Mazda.
