Recommended Posts

I’m depressed too:)

I Have never met any of the UK TR specialists in person, but TRGB seems like good people.

Thanks for posting Stan I really enjoyed that.

PS. Hope you're not totally snowed in

Brian

Nope. The worst of it was south of us so only around 8 inches of snow to clear yesterday morning and the snow blower made quick work of that. https://ring.com/share/6664521132825951178 Now we have a few days of frigid weather where we wont get above freezing until the weekend. Lets just say March is a transition month..

For anyone wanting to watch this go to Dailymotion.com

here is a working (I think) link to it.

If in doubt search for Car SOS and find the episopde.

Why does Tim have to be such a Knob? I know it makes good telly but it gets a bit irritating after a while. Never seen him complete a task yet.

Enjoy

Hi Ed,

These are modern times, people are aparently not interested in that.

It needs to be quick or it is too complicated or booring.

So either we accept or change ourselves:)

Me  neither, the only advantage of getting old is being yourself.

Why can’t they make car programmes for car people and keep “entertainment” for others.

We have whole channels for Welsh and Scots.

Now where do I audition for Grumpy Old Men?

Yeah, I understand that they have to try to appeal to the broadest possible demographic.

Well, they think they have to, because that's easier than trying to understand your audience and make a programme that fits the audience's wants.

Just watched the last episode with the Celica, enjoyed it a lot as this was the same car as my first car; a yellow 72 model and I painted it the same red.

I had to “restore” this car and I struggled, not only since it was my first car but also due to the rust and bad quality of the screws, nuts and bolts, a lot of them would shear off. When I restored my over 40 year old TR6 40 years later I had no such problems, the quality of British cars was/is  better that it’s reputation!

Ed

We are now the target demographic for Erectile Dysfunction remedies  (no offense meant Ed..), hearing aids, and Medicare insurance policies. Thankfully YouTube is a great source of hands on content. We are unlikely to ever see project Binky on broadcast TV.
