Hamish
I used vredestien sprint classic 185/70x15 on my 3a. You can drive to a tr register event and compete on these. But you have a wide choice if you read our regs. H
leonnewman1
I have vred sprints but didn't think they were on the approved list?
Hamish
They must have been in a past MSA book as the regs sa Class 2 —- Tyres must be from List 1A or List 1B of any year MSA Yearbook i think Roger the organiser uses them too H

stephen cooper
Hi, I presume they would be allowed - I have some road legal Yokohama AO48s 205/60/15s available if of interest. Thanks Edited February 27, 2019 by stephen cooper

Thanks Not sure about these as these are now 1c tyres. See note above. But send email to organiser Roger for clarification. https://www.motorsportuk.org/assets/198-208sectionl.pdf
rcmcewen
Hi All The fact is that if you are competing in a road legal car any road legal tyre (marked with a E) is acceptable, although if the car is Class 1 then you cannot use tyres in List 1B of any year. I have Blue Books going back 10 years, surely no one uses tyres older than that?, so if you want a check just send me an e-mail. As a matter of interest I am using Vreds Sprint Classic that were in List 1B in 2015. I have never seen a Scrutineer check the tyres so in the end it rests with the Championship competitors. roger murray-evans
I've competed in hillclimbs and sprints with Colway remoulds before now. I must admit I was a little bemused by the tyre regs but a phone call to the (then) MSA and I was told that pretty much that any tyre you wanted to use was up to you, and at your own risk. Has it changed? Roger M-E
