Chris96
My car came with an electric fan (cannot determine the make) and I'm rewiring it such that it runs through a new fuse box. Any thoughts on the size of fuse needed to protect the circuit. It has a relay installed. All guidance gratefully received
iani
My Revotec fan runs through a modern 20A fuse happily enough, if it was a glass fuse then it would be higher I would expect. Ian Edited February 14, 2019 by iani

Ian That’s what I have. Feed ditectly from Startermotor, fused relay near the fan. Waldi
ed_h
Find or measure the current draw of the fan. Size the fuse at 50-100% over that. This assumes that the fan wiring is properly sized. The fuse protects the wiring. Ed
