Tim T
Could some knowledgeable person tell me how I search for a specific entry such as 'seat runners' without finding every entry containing the word 'seat'or 'runners' ? Many thanks Tim
Deggers
Hi Tim, Top and tail your chosen words with speech marks . . . in this case "seat runners". This will limit your results to a specific phrase. Hope that helps. Cheers, Deggers
Waldi
Tim, an alternative method is to use google, like: “Triumph TR6 seat runners” , normally results from our forum are also shown. Waldi
Tim T
...oh yes! That works. See what you mean. Many thanks Deggers, Tim
Charlie D
Tim, When you do a search on this site you have the choice of: “Any of my search terms” Or “All of my search terms.” The default is “Any…..”, which I always find not what I want. And so have to go back and tick “All….” (Just look under the words you put into the search box. There is a section headed “Find results that contain...”) Charlie. Z320
Allow me to say, to me it seems the problem is, here on this forum every thread is always on top of "the big heap", lost anywhere. For me myself it is hard to find my own posts. Onother arrangement of the issues would make sence to me, "seat runners" would be to find under the issue "interior", not for example on "the heap of TR6". Like you find parts at Rimmers or Moss, but not listed to any kind of TR. Sorry me for my poor kind of logic.
John L
The other thing that is important that the search doesn't like 3 letter words like oil!
AlanT
Put this into Google. Google is so much smarter at searching than almost anything else. Here you have just limited it to the register site. site:www.tr-register.co.uk seat runners
