tr6tuga
Good evening About to replace rear dampers and order a new pair o springs. The old ones are 285 mm free heigt, that is higher than Bb that rates 278 mm. Is this a common issue? What are the best for normal use? Free height means measuring with the springs out, free of compression? Thank you
JochemsTR
Free Height means free of compression. You must consider the spring rate in your equation. I currently have installed Rear: 270mm with 375 lb/inch. Front: 227mm with 375 lb/inch. Jochem
Z320
I've been talking with a coil spring producer some years ago. He told me the lenght of the not compressed spring tells you not very much. Because depending on the vary on the delivered steel they must vary the lenght for some [mm]. The lenght of the coil spring compressed with the correct weight tells you more. About 7 mm more or less on a not compressed spring I would not care about. Our TRs are no rocket technic. Ciao / Cheers, Marco
