London Ultra Low Emission Zone

Recommended Posts

Just found a useful site - Transport for London - where you can check if your classic can enter the London Ultra Low Emission Zone

Just enter your registration and hopefully you will find that your classic is exempt. There is also a checker for the T-charge or emissions surcharge. Again hopefully you will find you are exempt.

However if I understand the rules you do have to pay the congestion charge. Maybe Roger Hogarth who lives in that part of the UK could confirm that. The congestion charge only applies in the centre of London and there are times and days (bank holidays and weekends, and weekdays between 1800 and 0700) when it does not apply.

Hi Dave,

drove through the southern section on Monday. Heading towards Greenwich around the south circular.

Sheen, Putney and Clapham pretty good.

Peckham was fun. All those bl**dy yellow  three wheelers. Mandela Towers and the local Spring water bottling factory were of particular interest.

At least we had a high five from an old Jamaican chap when stuck at some traffic lights.

Very few decent pubs on the high streets..,
