Robert Price Posted January 7, 2019 Report Share Posted January 7, 2019 I am fitting a voltmeter so am I correct in thinking that the original ammeter wires 2 thick brown/brown and white and the 3rd thinner wire can all be connected together? and use a 12 volt supply for the voltmeter from the ignition accessory spade connection. peejay4A Posted January 7, 2019 Report Share Posted January 7, 2019 That’s what I’ve done. I didn’t use the accessory position though, I took it from the ignition supply. That stops the meter from operating when I’m sitting listening to the radio. The meter is a crude thermal device and draws more current than a “proper” voltmeter.
