Hi all, looking for some help / advice.

I have a TR2 with a three pin Lucas flasher unit. Unit works and the indicator lights all function well.

What doesn’t work is the orange ‘indicators on’ light on the dashboard.

If I test the output voltage for the pin (light green wire) from the Lucas unit which runs to the dashboard light,  I get zero volts.

Any thoughts, or should I just buy a new unit?

Thank you all

Richard

It does sound like the flasher unit is at fault, why not fit a modern one. I can recommend one if needed.

Bob.

P.S.

And if you are thinking about upgrading your lights to LED type PM me.

Did it ever work or a new problem?

Have you fitted an LED buzzer unit? If so you need an electronic flasher unit due to led bulb as dash bulb lights occasionally or not at all.

Attach a known working bulb and holder to unit so replacing the dash bulb,, does it now work?

Remove green wire from flasher unit and apply 12 volt supply, does dash light work?

Would suspect the unit but they can be carefully split and the contacts cleaned or check for a dry soldered joint internally.
