Yes saw this item, nothing to do with me, thinking though I have/do recommend Lancaster Engines for those needing services in our part of the world, pehaps thats a clue? Lebro Posted November 19, 2018 Report Share Posted November 19, 2018 I know that the 4A heads are different to the 4 ones, - the combustion chamber is a different shape, I thought they could be identified by the flat you refer to, but having read your link, I may be wrong on that point, he does not refer to the 4A head being different though. Motorsport Mickey Posted November 19, 2018 Report Share Posted November 19, 2018 (edited) Hamish, Depends upon accuracy of Mk1 eyeball but check out the inlet ports, they look to be 1 5/8s" dia for the first 1/4 " as machined on TR3a up to TR4, the inlets on TR4a were 1 1/2" dia.
