Richard71
Hello All, I read somewhere on the forum years & years ago (can't find it now), there's some significance of cylinder heads with a raised "B" underneath the rocker cover to the top right of the part number, does this indeed denote a particular cylinder head casting??? Regards, Richard.
saffrontr
Richard, my TR6 has a "B" head. It is an NOS head that I fitted a few years back, it is stamped 516816 which is correct for my 1971 PI however it also has a PCV plinth albeit these were never used or fitted to PI heads. Maybe Triumph were just using a common casting across all 6 cylinder models. I've attached a few images, I've just been doing some work to the head hence the remnants of old gasket that is still to be removed! Hopefully someone else will pipe in on the "B". regards Derek
