Birkett Six Hour Relay

Many memories of this event, and Triumph team entries, sad to say no more since 2008 because the drivers of moderns are just so rude.      No one likes their car being damaged by being 'cut-up', and no manager likes being told by Race Conrol to bring a car in because it has minor damage.      I lost heart, when I couldn't find enough Triumph drirvers willing to enter.  Are any Triumphs enetered this year the 68th (!) running?

Well, if any one had six hours to sit in a static chair ( I didn't) it was shown live, as above.     And now I've found the list of cars taking part:

And I can see several "Mini Cooper S", but suspect those are BMW imposters.   There was an Escort Mk2 (Bianco Motorsport an Alfa team, I thought!) and am MG Midget (Team Sellars).  Otherwise it was moderns, Radicals, Mallocks, Cater-fields etc etc.  Nothing else that could be called 'classic'    I fear we are lost to the Birkett, for ever.
