michael pridham
Hi Folks, Just fitted Hawk front disc pads to my 6, I cannot believe the difference they have made they have totally transformed my brakes, not cheap at £89 but the best £89 I have spent on my car and cheaper than £1500 for 4 pot callipers. Hamish
I’ve always wondered about these. But despite their description they are not the same as on my 3a ! mine are not pinned but have the securing plates. H

Will
I think Hawk only make pads for the 1/4” pins. Any issues with opening up TR6 calipers from 3/16” to 1/4”?
tim hunt
Earlier TR6s had imperial calipers with 1/4" retaining pins. Cars from CP76095/CC81079 had metric M16P calipers with smaller diameter pins. Can't see why holes in later calipers can be carefully enlarged to suit the larger imperial pins. I had the opposite issue on my 4A, finding it easier to source pads for the later metric caliper (those for e.g. the Escort MkII fit) and simply having to enlarge the holes in the pads to accept my 1/4" pins.
