Hi all,

picking your brains on this, looked at  a TR4A this week.

The car sits markedly lopsided, space between the top of the tyers on the O/S, and the wheel arch, is about correct, say i.5 inches,  both front and rear,

On the N/S the gap is at least double this, and again both front and rear seem pretty much equal.

Wondering if it is possible to swop front and rear springs,  - i.e. perhaps there are two front springs on the N/S and two rears on the O/S?

Any thoughts?

John.

If you can, you need to measure distance from underneath of chassis to level ground - each side should be the same - if not then the chassis is out - I'm sure there are some measurements somewhere of what the distances should be, but I haven't got those to hand.

Good luck

Cheers

My 6 was lopsided in the rear end, it turned out to be a seized trailing arm bush.

Hi Stewart, This is a very interesting picture. Are these springs different options for the front suspension on my 3A. I have Revington springs but the car is too high, They are 450 lb and I assume are therefore harder to compress. I am learning about springs a lot at the moment.

Thanks Richard

Unfortunately not they were fitted by an un-named TR specialist to correct the ride due to a bent chassis on a TR6 that they had sold.
