Fluctuating Rev Counter Needle

Recommended Posts

The rev counter on my TR3a has up to now been pretty stable but recently it has started to waver about before settling at what i presume is the correct reading.

Can anyone advise what is likely to be the cause?

Never grease rev counter or speedo cables as it can work its way up into the head unit, better to use graphite powder. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/C-K-Graphite-Powder-Lock-Lubricant-Cylinder-Car-Padlock-K30050-50g/142957414356?hash=item2148ed07d4:g:j5oAAOxyuPtQ-AOs

+1 for graphite powder, by far the best to lubricate locks also. Great surface slip agent and non sticky so will not attract dust and muck eventually gunging things up.
