Coulstock
I have just got my bumpers back from being Chromed and went to put the rear on, only to realise the Captive nuts were missing on the centre section. Is there a way around this or am i going to have to buy a new centre section. Many Thanks, Nick
Mike C
I've never had to fix this problem, but have you considered something like these SS nutserts; http://www.anzor.com.au/stainless-steel-threaded-insert-rivnut-nutsert/threaded-inserts-stainless/product
ed_h
It would be a shame to trash a bumper just for the captive nuts. Mine had the nuts, but unfortunately, the bolts had broken off in them. Trying to remove the bolts tore up the cages. New cages are fairly simple to make. I riveted them in.
