sunset at John o'Groats

Took my cousin out to lunch. She was born in 1918.   Tom

Lovely end to a lovely day. Crisp winter coastal run, and down to the beach for a stroll at sundown.  Happy new year all, Deggers

. . . and it's still all the same today.

Some places more than others.

No points for guessing where this is.  ;)

Today I took the TR4 for short drive to the Great Barn at Harmondsworth a stones throw from Heathrow airport.

The Barn was built at the start of Henry VI's reign.  The poet John Betjeman referred to it as the Cathedral of Middlesex.

It is truly magnificent inside.

The cross beams are apprx 40 ft high. It was referred to as a three floor barn. Each floor is at the entranceto a huge door. These floors were made of clean wood and that is where the wheat/corn was threshed.

Hi Stuart,

yes they are. I know they are frowned upon but they are not having a hard time on my car at the moment.

I do have four 60 spoke wheels in the garage, courtesy of AlecP_ and I'm sure they will get fitted one day.

Roger,

Just unusual to see them on a 4 these days though they were OE.

Stuart.

Today was the monthly meeting of the Redrose group, we had a change of venue due to the pub being done up, we went back to our old venue and had a enjoyable lunch and catch up. We then had a short run to Lowes farm shop to have a look at the small outlets and have our usual coffee and cake.

Yeah massive equestrian Center there. Very popular and quite commercial now I understand.
