john.r.davies
It's the Bo'ness Hill Climb Revival this weekend, and I'm giving it a go. Class 9 is Single Marques, 9b for Triumphs. Entries include: James Coltart TR3A Alan Gibb Swallow Doretti Andy Walker "Triumph Sport" (?) Cliff McKinnon Stag Donald Coltart TR3A (shared drive?) Alaister Muir TR4A Markus Bewley GT6 and me All except Markus and I are from Scotland. Markus has invited the Cumbria TR Group along, although they have a local scenic drive that day, but all Triumpheroes welcome in the paddock! Ove a hunderd cars on the entry list, of all sorts from pre-1930s to moderns and single seaters. I'm told Bo'ness is a good track for spectators, situated on the Kinneil Estate in lovely parkland, so a good end-of-summer day out! TR4TUNE
Will be there on the Saturday now the carb fuel leak is sorted (I think). I will call in to the pits to say hello and wish you all luck. Quite fancy a go but on a bangs per buck basis I'll stick to classic/targas for now. I have been before and it is a good event with plenty to watch on the track and in the show field...the organisers are a friendly helpful bunch. Weather looks fine for both days so worth a trip up to Bo'ness. John S
oldtuckunder
but 3 have dropped oot, and the other GT6 driver, es gon t,compete ina TVR nanes of hand, Jim Johmstone, Tom Purves, Colin Elstrop. missing Unfortunately Jim rolled the TR6 after suspension failure earlier in the year but fortunately as I understand not too badly hurt, but the car is a mess, but I believe being rebuilt. Tom had an engine bay fire whilst driving home a month back, and the car nearly burnt out, currently being professionally rebuilt! given how immaculate the car was I think that's going to be some insurance bill.
