2long
I am so thrilled that I can post photos from my computer now without that stupid photobucket, so I wanted to show off a couple of vintage TR shots from my research on Hawaii sports car racing. The "Vail Motors" dealership shot is where my TR2 was ordered from when it was new. Cheers Dan

2long
Here is another of the Vail Dealership - Those look like bowling shoes to me! Cheers Dan
Rodbr
Nope, Here we see the Jaguar XK driver in his driving clothes. Thanks for posting. Rod
Dick
Perhaps there should be a section for posting vintage photos.
2long
Another. I will give this a caption: "Do you like my hat?" Cheers Dan
Don H.
Those are terrific images, Dan -- what a treat to see. (And when I was four or five years old I wore saddle shoes like that, too!)

TorontoTim
Starting grid: Hawaii SCCA Sports Car Racing 3.jpg I'm amazed that all the jags are at the back. Should I be? (I've never had the opportunity to drive one, so maybe they are slower than I think they are...)
SuzanneH
I think those shoes were called “ Oxfords”.
2long
From the back:
stuart
I'm amazed that all the jags are at the back. Should I be? (I've never had the opportunity to drive one, so maybe they are slower than I think they are...) They would have been handicapped to the back of the grid due to engine displacement. Stuart. TS27004
Superb collection of images of TR2 & 3s from 60+ years ago. Thank you for uploading them Dan.
Don H.
I think those shoes were called “ Oxfords”. Yep -- that style of lacing and vamp is an "Oxford". The two-tone versions of the basic Oxford were called "saddle shoes" over here back then. Here's an image of my saddle shoes from just about when my TR3B was sold the first time. 2long
The ladies mixed it up too! Since we are talking shoes, notice the attire for the grandstand spectators! Cheers Dan
2long
Is this a lug wrench? Note the geranium TR2.
2long
The dapper young man on the right is Roy King, and he remains an active member in the local club. Fine gentleman! Cheers Dan
2long
I like this one just because of the fun they are having. They should upgrade to a TR!
