colin3511
Hi, Can someone advise me of the best way to free up spindles and butterflies. I have a set that are well and truly seized. Thanks, Colin
TriumphV8
Heat, heat, heat...... Than MOS2 oil to the bearings and try to turn the spindle. Unbolt the throttle plates and again turn the spindle to have the plates rectangular and remove them with a plier. At last heat again and the apindle out with the help of more oil. When throttle plates are out the spindles are very easy to break. Great care must be taken, better more heat than more force and between heatin let cool down with oil....... peter.goreham
Hi Colin, Boil in saucepan of water for 15minutes. Lubricate with light oil and try to get some movement with gentle hand pressure. If no joy, repeat. Freed off a set a couple of weeks ago using this method. Can't take the credit for this, comes off Utube Cheers Peter

Richard71
Send them to me Probably your best bet or soak them in a bucket of diesel for a few days. Richard.
peter.goreham
Soaked mine for two days in paraffin. No change. Boil them. You won't regret it. If the worst comes to the worst you can still send them to k raven smith. Cheers Peter
jogger321
I met a chap at a show recently that had sent his throttle bodies to k_raven_smith and he was extremely happy with the end result when he got them back
