steve m
Evening all, a friend has a CR6 that seems to have a fuel pressure fluctuation problem. He has a Bosch pump kit from Revington ,fitted 2 years ago, but recently has been cutting out and after checking the usual items he did a fuel pressure test . It was low and as he started to adjust the relief valve the pressure dropped !! Anyone had this problem before ?? Regards. Steve
DaveN
Fuel starvation? Is the tank outlet clear?
Mike C
He was closing the relief valve? Opening it will decrease the pressure at the MU.
barkerwilliams
Has he checked the voltage at the pump and examined the earth conection to ensure the pump is able to run at full speed to generate the pressure needed? Alan
stuart
If its an original type PRV then it will probably need a rebuild, they are very sensitive to over adjusting. The diaphragm type with external adjuster are easier to set. Stuart.
Kevo_6
There are some small in-line plastic strainers, 1 in the entry to metering unit and one each of the Lucas pump and PRV not sure on the Bosch setup, I had one go soft and collapse which restricted the bore and reduced my pressure.
