Relay upgrade - new or old style

Recommended Posts

I replaced all mine. The next owner will have no problems switching back to the original relays which I have retained.

I also used only one type of relay with changeover contacts and a high current capacity so that all the relays on the car are one type and only one universal spare need be carried.

The relays I used have clear plastic, sealed top cases and you can see to check for burnt contacts, they are also fitted with an internal LED when on which makes any fault-finding very easy.

Relays play an important role and quality varies...

i’d recommend a quality brand such as Tyco/Heller/flosser/fiamm rather than generics.
